The cash version is amazing, but I had to vote for the original because when I saw it live i shed a few tears. This is song is def. one of NIN's best.

Cash's version is the best. You can't beat the haunting vocals that gain in strength to the point where he's yelling the song, then dropping off suddenly.

I also like both, you can feel the pain in both versions. But I got a little bit more goose bump from the Cash Version. And Mr Jim from Marysville come in the present WWII is over and we are no fascist anymore, i am from a new generation of Germans and not responsible for what people does 27 years before i was born, i don't call you native american killer so please don't call us Nazi only because someone got an different opinion.

I remember hearing on an interview that even Reznor admitted Cash had taken this song into a whole new ballpark. Very good cover.

Fantastic song performed by two great artists. I give a slight nod to Johnny and a big thanks to Trent.

I voted for Jhonny he was a great inspiration to everyone. shuch a shame that he pst away before i really got into his music. i would've liked to go to one of his concerts.

I had to vote for Johnny. Most covers are not able to be compared to the original. Reznor wrote the song. Johnny made you feel the song. You can feel the pain that Johnny has lived with all his life. When I hear the first few notes of Johhny's version it makes me want to cry. A great song all around to evoke such raw emotion. R.I.P. Johnny Cash.
