Comfortably Numb
You got to give a band credit for turning a rather beautiful ballad into a balls-out disco rock tune. It took guts. And I totally commend the Scissor Sisters for their unique creation... besides the fact that I adore the band! Anyone who says they don't like this cover just doesn't want to give it a chance.

THEY MUST DIE FOR GIVING BIRTH TO THIS TERRIBLE VERSION OF A CLASSIC SONG.

That cover by The Scissor Sisters is the most horrable garbage I have ever heard. I havent researched on them, but I am pretty sure anybody who likes that version is as gay/a crossdresser as the band members. They totally swallowed a good song, and took a dump that twisted my persception of what is considered "music" This is even worse then doing a gangster rap version.

Nothing even comes close to David Gilmour's solos in this song in the history of music!
The original is by far the best, and cannot be beaten.

Well at first I was horrified by the cover version. then I thought they must have sat down and thought "What would be the most unlikely song that we could turn into a disco tune? I know...." So in a way, I say hats off to them. Hope there version isn't the one that everyone'll remember though.

Yes, it took guts, yes, it's in a different genre, yada yada. Forget that for a minute, because it's irrelevant. The Scissor Sister's version is terrible. This is not a good song, disco music or otherwise. In my opinion, Comfortably Numb is the best song on Pink Floyd's album The Wall, which sold over 30 million copies. I don't see what else there is to say on the matter.

(tried posting this once but it didn't turn up...apologies if it's there twice).
Both of these songs are NOT "equally good." The Scissor Sisters should be eviscerated for what they did to this great Floyd song. If I ever meet the bastards I'll tell them that and spit on them too for good measure

um are we kidding. the sisters cover doesn't even compare to pink floyds original. in my opinion they ruined a great song
