Lake of Fire
I first became acquainted with this number through Nirvana. Though I've heard the Meat Puppets original, I still prefer the Nirvana cover.

Comments about Lake of Fire:
Meats are great . Cobain was a great artist, but to compare Nirvana's rendition of Lake of Fire to the Meat Puppets original is comparing red to yellow. The Puppets are so raw and intense... they are great. In the 80's I got so pissed when they played and these quasi punks would try to boo them off stage cause they didn't fit their crappy little mode. They hung tough...they inspired my band at the time and following ventures I did. I'm GLAD Cobain gave them their props.

The Meat Puppets did a re-recording of Lake of Fire around 1994 on one of their LPs as a bonus track, and its much better than both previous versions.
