WHITNEY OWNS THIS SONG...............SHE'S THE BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD TODAY. IF DOLLY THOUGHT SHE SANG IT BETTER HERSELF SHE WOULDN'T HAVE ALLOWED WHITNEY TO USE IT. WHITNEY BROKE ALL RECORDS WITH HER VERSION OVER AND OVER.............. WE LOVE YOU WHITNEY

I like both dolly's is more sentimental but whitney's is far superior both vocally and technically. The song really builds! Also the arrangement is more pleasing to the ear. Furthermore when you think I will always love you, you think whitney

I'm not a huge fan of either version, but I have guess I will go with the Whitney version. I'm not a fan of over-singing, but she makes it a little more interesting. But maybe that's just because I'm not as big of a country fan as others.

For you ignorant foreigners out there. Dolly Parton wrote and made this song famous before any one knew of Whitney Houston. Whitney Houston is better known for her crack-headed ways than her talent here in the United States lately. Someone should have told, "The Ghetto Queen," that divas and cocaine don't mix.

Go Ms. Dolly, Just wish you would write more of the same. Your voice is so unique and not one to be imitated. Thank you for all the years of easy listening. Whitney has a beautiful voice for her style of songs, each are extremely talented.
