I was surprised to learn a long time after enjoying the Natalie Imbruglia version of this song that it was a cover originally written and performed by girl-fronted band Ednaswap a few years earlier. It made me think its kind of sad when an artist gets a ton of success off of another lesser-known bands material, but if the sound of the cover is better than really, thats all she wrote.
