I Want You
This cover of Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" was really the only reason to listen to the all-ballads retrospective Madonna spat out a decade ago as she raced toward starring in Evita. Her work with Massive Attack, however, forecast the direction she'd go with Ray of Light three years later, and together they slow down Marvin Gaye's original and turn it into something sensual and haunting. In my mind, it's probably Madonna's only decent recorded cover (although... sacrilege alert... I think her version of "Imagine" from her 2004 tour was also pretty good; somebody should post it, if there's a way of directing users to an audio file).

Comments about I Want You:
I hate Madonna but use her pictures to scare my nephew when he misbehaves. Still have to admit that her version of this song is better, cause Marving Gaye's version souunds like street noise and she is just a notch above it..
