Honestly, these people who are calling Alanis' voice annoying and/or whiny really don't know what they're talking about and probably haven't even listened to the song or anything she's done since "Jagged Little Pill". In my opinion, Alanis' cover is brilliant, especially if you manage to get your hands on the original version (not included in the maxi-single or "The Collection". Also, all of her live performances of this song (several of them are on YouTube) are absolutely spot-on and even better than the studio version.

I think i prefer Alanis Morissettes version of this as she has made her own sound and with that voice of hers it sounds great even though Seals version is really good i think Alanis Morissettes version is better

Both versions are good, but Seal's version truly moves me. The feeling from the original cannot be matched in this case.

If Seal entrusted this song to Alanis, then who are we to judge? Just enjoy both of their own Interpretation to this song. I enjoy Morrisette's video twisty ending thought :)
