My Prerogative
I can't believe I have to pick between the two... although Britney's a big guilty pleasure of mine, she doesn't fit this song. Yes. I'm going with Mr. Bobby Brown.

The fact that Britney is winning this vote really shows that everyone voting on here is a baby! Bobby Brown all the way.

Bobby Brown's version forever!

The original song is good (but far from a New Jack swing anthem) but not because of Bobby Brown. You can barely hear his weak and bland voice. It was one of the earliest examples of the New Jack Swing genre.
The man behind its production moved on to make much better New Jack swing music with the actually talented Michael Jackson. Whatever happened to Bobby Brown? Why would anyone want to cover this song is beyond me especially someone who despite being as hated by many will be remembered.

Britney Spears sucks and I hear her feet smell horribly and if any of you have seen those nasty upskirts pictures of her and still think she is sexy, you must be very lonely and desperate. I'd rather do Whitney houston on Crack then Britney Spears.

I think women sell sexy better than men. She had me drooling. But, upon listening to his jazzy funk, it was a difficult choice. Old music has a soul.

E-man said of Britney: "In short, she massacred it, turning an addictive funk song into a tuneless overproduced piece of throwaway pop fodder."
... and that pretty well sums up her career, as well as her contemporaries Aguilera, Pink, and the rest. Sure Bobby's a washed-up cokehead, but he actually had talent once. Britney is and always will be just another corporate-manufactured, silicone-enhanced product with no talent whatsoever. Case in point: ever single one of her recordings requires pitch correction software because the bitch can't sing.
I think I'll put on an old Motown record now ... ain't nothing like the real thing.

To Brian, the reviewer from Brooklyn:
"Back in the day"? As in 2004? Youre calling 2004 "back in the day"?
Ummm... I think you probably represent a typical Britney fan. The E-Man's comments above ring true. You have just validated him.

britney may be odd and unwell at the moment but personally i think she spiced up this old tune and gave it edge and sexiness. Bobby Brown version was very good though but i think she outdid him. Besides he is a drug addict.
