Don't Leave Me This Way
Thelma Houston's version is much better.

Io Preferisco la cover.
Mi ricordano i passati anni 80

Easy pick, Thelma Houston has a voice. The Communards need all kind of tricks (backing vocals, up-tempo, horn section) to hide the 'capacities' of Jimmy Sommerville.

Kayne from NY is right. The Thelma Houston version is ALSO a cover. The VERY original is from Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes. Same arrangement as Thelma's cover, except it's sung by a man.

The first Queen of Disco...I loved this song and the woman who sung it...and still do! Her voice singing that song went through me from head to toe on that dance floor. I'll never forget it. Thelma RULES!!

la musica, como todo arte que se precie, se ha reciclado tantas veces como ha hecho falta. pero en este caso, en este contexto, la version de thelma houston es mucho mas representativa, ademas de ser más autentica. me kedo con esa

Thelma Houston's Version is a cover as well. Harold Melvin & the Blue Notws originally put out the song in the summer of 69
