Don't spit on Jamie Cullum guys! Of course Jimi's version is much better, but it's a fact no one can even come close to beat that masterpiece. I think it's brave Jamie tried it, and made his total own version of it. Both songs are cool, but in total different ways. I think it's not really comparible.

I demand a recount, this is impossible!!! This site must only be visited by 12 year old girls. Jaimie Cullum is queer and Jimi is god. I listened to Cullums version for the sake of being fair, and it made me vomit.

Not that Cullum's cover isn't good, it's just that Hendrix's is better.
I hope people actually listened to Hendrix's masterpiece before voting, rather than just hearing it on the radio and deciding it was better. I'll tell you a secret: it isn't.

I only came across this abomination by accident last week - it was being played on the jukebox at a pub I visited with my daughter.
"What the fuck is that?" I cried, beer coming down my nose.
"Jamie fucking Cullum," she replied. (Sweet girl.)
Cullum should be assassinated.

OK, I'll admit I've never heard the Jamie Callum version. I'll even admit that I've never heard of Jamie Callum. I'm sure he's a very talented fellow. But that matters not one iota because this is THE WIND CRIES MARY by JIMI freakin' HENDRIX we're talking about here, fer gawd's sakes!!!
I see Mr. Callum has 68% of the vote at the moment. Hmm... either he's working hard every day on the phone to get his entire family to go to this website or there's a whole lot of stupid going around these days. Are you all insane? Has that steady consumption of RockStar energy drink while playing endless rounds of Guitar Hero utterly melted your frontal lobes and turned your soul into moldy lime jello?!
Seriously, saying you prefer the Jamie Callum version of Wind Cries Mary to the Jimi Hendrix "version" is like saying you prefer looking at a postcard of the Sistine Chapel to viewing the actual painting on the ceiling created by Michaelangelo. It's like saying you prefer the Mr Magoo cartoon version of Moby Dick better than the novel by Melville. In other words it's like saying "uh, well, ah don't know much about myoozik but ah guess ah'm gonna vote in this here poll anyhooo..."
