I still haven't found what I'm looking for
U2 has always been a fascinating band. And songs like "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" made this band so special. Not long ago I heard the cover version of this song in the radio and tried to find something about this version by the Chimes in the net. The original is of course the better version, but that does not mean that the copy is bad.

I like them both...they are equally brilliant on their own ways..One of the rare occasions when the cover version is as good as the original...& I'm in love with Paline Henry ever since :)

This is a wicked chooooon, regardless of whether it's Bono\U2 or The Chimes singing it. I'd never really listened to U2 before, and when I heard the Chimes version and learned of the track's origin, I was highly impressed. I consequently started listening to U2's music and have liked them ever since. U2 sing it with feeling, but The Chimes sing it with SOUL!!!

I love the Chimes version, it was the first time I heard the song. It's a very beautiful and uplifting song. When I heard the U2 version I realized the songs power is mostly in the words and the music because it didn't lose any of its mesmerizing effect.

U2's version is great but I love the chimes'version. I love the singer's voice. It makes me stop what I'm doing and smile

This song was written as, and is a gospel song. U2 perform it as a gospel song but not with the traditional vocal presentation of a gospel song.
The Chimes present it in it's more intended wrapper.
U2 are without doubt the greatest band in the World at the moment and the lyrics of their songs are so beautiful and meaningful. They are also very diverse. U2's version was, when it was first created, so unique and powerful it has to be the better version, but the cover presents it as it was intended and is a good version.
