Mr. Lonely / Lonely
The original is a classic played for many years in my house as a child and I have quite fond memories of the song, however, I have to admit that I prefer the updated version purely because I hate sampling in songs but this was quite a genius use of an old classic and I think it does the song some kind of justice that it rightly deserves.

Though I Usually have a point on boths sides of music in a debatial way, I Don't know what to say about this one. Bobby's voice just wasnt what it should be for i high song like that. Neither is Akons. Though ive never heard Bobby out of choice Im sure he may be a decent artist. Ive heard Akon nd am not a fan but this song fit him more.

I don't like Akon or what he stand for, but I his version is a bit more bearable than Vinton's.

Take Bobby Venton's version, change the pitch and speed slightly in Audacity (or any sound program) .. and you get Akon's version. Just shows a lack of talent on Akon's part and is typical nowadays. Artists like Akon have no talent whatsoever.

Akon's version is far from being good, it's rather a funny trial. The first the best!

ok first of all race has nothing to do with it and akon is just ripping off bobbys song akon prob never wrote it when he was sad or lonely or breaking up with a girl hes just like oooo a good song lets rip it and make it sad Bobby vinton on the other hand wrote it when he was AT WAR which he was truly sad cuz he was lonely and he wanted to go on .. both are good singers but bobby vinton version of mr.lonely is always going to be better than akons thats just the facts u cant change it im sry for people who think the other way..

Bobby Vinton's origonal version "Mr. Lonely" is moving and inspiring, it capured the emotions and tone of the War going on at the time and I think everyone can appreciate that.
